In honor of our newest limited edition autumn candle "bourbon apple cider', here is the classic recipe (brought to you by the great Geoffry Zakarian and Food Network) that this candle was inspired by. So, whip up a fresh batch of spiced cider and pick up one of our Bourbon Apple Cider vegan soy candles to burn while you’re sipping on this delicious cocktail this fall.
Spiced Bourbon Apple Cider
16 ounces apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
2 black peppercorns
1 star anise
8 ounces bourbon
Ground cinnamon, in a shaker, for sprinkling
4 apple slices
- Put the apple cider, cinnamon sticks, cloves, black peppercorns and star anise in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Immediately strain the mixture into 4 mugs, divided evenly. Top with the bourbon.
- Sprinkle a small amount of cinnamon on top of each and garnish with an apple slice.
